Thai iced tea is a popular iced drink which hails from Thailand. Thai iced tea is a traditional blend of strong black tea, vanilla bean, cardamom and anise. let's see how to make thai iced tea recipe at home.

  • 3 cups water
  • 4 bags black tea or red Thai tea or 1 1/2 tablespoons loose tea
  • 1 whole clove
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 vanilla bean – cut down the centre to release the vanilla flavour optional
  • 1 ½ tablespoons sugar or adjust as per taste
  • 6 Ice cubes
  1. First put a medium saucepan on heat.
  2. Bring the water to a boil.
  3. Add star anise, cardamom pods and cloves.
  4. Boil for a minute.
  5. Switch off the flame now.
  6. Now remove the pan from the heat and set aside.
  7. Place the tea bags, in the water, and make sure they are completely submerged in water.
  8. Steep for 15 minutes.
  9. Now remove the tea bags, star anise, and cloves by using a strainer or a spoon.
  10. Add the sugar and stir until it's completely dissolved.
  11. Let the tea cool to room temperature.
  12. Add ice to the serving glass and pour the prepared tea into the glasses.
  13. Note- Tall glasses are recommended.
  14. Fill each glass 3/4 of the way full with tea. Top up the remaining glass with half n half.
  15. Stir to combine.
  16. Enjoy your drink immediately.
