Chana Jor Garam Chana Jor Garam is a mouthwatering Indian traditional snack made out of Bengal black grams. In India the snack is sold in a conical shaped paper sheets with lemon juice squeezed on the top of chat. I love making this snack frequently as it is healthy and delicious too. You can make Chana Jor Garam any time, easily at home by following few simple steps. Let’s see the recipe.

Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Boiled Chickpeas black
  • 1 Cup Finely Chopped Onions
  • 1 tsp Black Salt
  • 1/4 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 Green Chillies Finely Chopped
  • 1-2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tbsp Oil for frying
  • Few leaves of Corriander leaves
  • A few strands of freshly shredded Coconut
Instructions
  1. Take Indian garbanzo (Kala chana) soak it over night and cook till the chana is soft.
  2. With a pestle or with rolling pin flatten each chana and let them dry for 3 to 4 hours.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add press chana in it and shallow fry it till become crispy.
  4. Transfer fried chana on an absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
  5. Add onions, chopped coriander, chopped green chili,  chat masala, black salt, lemon juice and salt.
  6. Toss it well to combine all ingredients.
  7. Now garnish with shredded fresh coconut and corriander leaves.
  8. If you are serving to kids, make a paper cone and fill with chaat , I am sure they would love to have it this way .
  9. You can also serve crispy chana jor garam with a cup of ginger tea.
