Mushroom curry is a delicious curry prepared with button mushrooms simmered in onion and tomato based gravy.

Ingredients
250gramsbutton mushroom
2tablespoonolive oil
½tspcumin seeds
2bay leaf
Onion Paste from 2 medium sized onions
½tspginger garlic paste
½tspturmeric powder
¼tspred chili powder
½tspcoriander powder
¼tspgaram masala
½cuptomato puree
Salt to taste
Water as required
Instructions
Place a wok or pan on medium flame. Add oil.
Once oil gets heat up, add cumin seeds and stir till they start splutter. Add bay leaves.
Add onion paste and saute for 2 min on low flame.
When onion paste starts changing its colour add ginger garlic paste. Saute until raw aroma evaporates.
Add turmeric powder and saute for 30 seconds. Add coriander powder, garam masala and red chili powder. Saute the masala till it starts coming together.
Add tomato puree and saute for 2 min again. Masala is cooked now, add chopped mushrooms.
Mix them together and add salt to taste. Add half cup of water and put the lid on.
Let it cook on medium low flame for 20- 25 minutes.
Check the mushrooms after 20 min, they must be cooked until now.
Mushroom masala gravy is ready. You can serve it with rice or phulka/ chapatti.
