Lassi is a chilled yogurt drink flavoured with cardamom and topped with chopped nuts. It is a traditional drink of Punjab (North India) but it is popular world wide.

  • Thick yogurt- 2 cups
  • Chilled milk - ΒΌ cup
  • Sugar - 3 tablespoon
  • Cardamom powder - a pinch
  • Pistachios - 2 tablespoon chopped
  • Glazed cherries chopped for garnish(optional)
  1. Take greek yogurt in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Add chilled milk and sugar.
  3. Using a wired whisk churn it thoroughly for at least 5 minutes till the sugar dissolves.
  4. Add the cardamom powder and add the half of the chopped pistachios.
  5. Churn it again to create frothy layer.
  6. You will see that foam has formed on the top of lassi.
  7. Now pour drink in glasses .
  8. Garnish with left pistachios and chopped cherries.
  9. Serve it chilled.

Recipe Notes

The amount of water/milk can be adjusted based on the consistency desired.

Curd and milk or water should be absolutely chilled.

You can use a hand blender in place of wired whisk and put all other ingredients. Blend every thing and serve lassi chilled.
