How to make Thai Iced tea recipe

restaurant style thai iced tea

Thai iced tea is a popular iced drink which hails from Thailand. Traditionally it is a blend of strong black tea, vanilla bean, cardamom and anise. I tasted it first time at a thai restaurant in Nottingham in England, last year. I loved the unique but perfect combination of refreshing tea with sweetness of milk.

After few days when I visited my neighbour Anong who is from Thailand, she also prepared this tea and told me how easy it is to make authentic Thai iced tea. So sharing my knowledge on this recipe.

Home made thai iced tea

In this thai iced tea, we brew high strength tea to get intense flavor by steeping the tea bags for about 15 to 20 min. Then sweeten with sugar or honey. Lastly topped with half n half and ice. And homemade thai iced tea is ready to serve.

In market, thai tea mix are also available, which also gives nice results. If possible, you can try it.
