No bake chocolate protein bars

High protein chocolate bar

Chocolate protein bars are the nutritional bars which provides high amount of protein and other nutrition to the body. These homemade protein bars are delicious and provide extra protein to your diet. And also these energy bars are handy to carry.

I love to make these protein bar at home because they are free from any preservatives, sugar, and any unwanted ingredient (like eggs) . You can also customise ingredients according to your diet.

I prepared protein bars in chocolate flavour because I love dark chocolate but you can prepare it in any other flavours like white chocolate or make it plain without any chocolate.

These protein bars are low in calories and aids in weight management. Taking protein bars as snack between meals can help in reducing overeating. It also satisfies sweet tooth while avoiding blood sugar spikes.

Vegan Protein Bars

If you are trying to lose weight, one of these bars will help you cut back on snacking during the day keeping you fuller longer. These bars are sugars free, gluten-free and vegetarian. You can make it vegan be using a vegan protien powder. Preparing these DIY PROTEIN BARS also saves money so why not try it.

Let’s see the recipe now !!

Ingredients

½ Cup unsweetened almond milk or regular milk
½ Cup rolled oats
1 Tablespoon vanilla essence
¼ Cup Almond flour
½ Cup desiccated coconut
3 Scoops chocolate protein powder
1 Tablespoon cocoa Powder
2 Tablespoon dark chocolate
1 Tablespoon pistachios to garnish

Let’s prepare vegan protein bars

First grind rolled oats to a fine powder in a grinder. In a large mixing bowl add all ingredients except the chocolate and desiccated coconut . Start mixing with help of fingers. This step is little messy. You can also use a food processor for this step. Mix everything together until it starts to get clumpy. You may adjust the milk quantity. If mixture is too dry add the milk little more. if your mix is too wet, add in some more coconut flour.

Line up a dish with desiccated coconut. Now shape the mixture into bars (you can do it with hands) and roll them in dessicated coconut. Keep bars aside. Here is a tip – Make sure that your hands are wet else mixture will stick.

Now melt dark chocolate in microwave. Add chocolate to a microwave safe bowl and microwave on minimum possible power for 50 seconds. You will see that chocolate has turned to shiny. Take it out and stir with fork. Pour the chocolate on protein bar and cover bars from three sides and put them aside on a parchment paper to get the chocolate hard. You can also put them in fridge for half an hour. Your delicious and healthy no bake protein bar are ready to eat. Enjoy !
