Instant Khoya Under 5 Minutes With Step by Step Pictures

Best Instant khoya recipe

Khoya is reduced milk granules made up by thickening whole milk in open iron pan. Khoya is also known as Mawa or Khoa. Traditionally khoya making is very time consuming process, it takes around 2 to 2 ½hour to make approx. 400 grams of khoya from 2 litre milk . Now a days people don’t have enough time to invest in such traditional cooking.

So how to relish Indian sweets which need khoya for preparing them ? This recipe is the solution,  you can prepare instant khoya under 5 minutes. And the texture also is granular just like traditional khoya. You can use this khoya in making Indian sweets recipes and curries.

My microwave is 800 watts, so for preparing this Instant khoya recipe I cooked for exactly 3 ½ minutes.  Ensure that you don’t over cook because mawa will get thick and dry as it cools.

Few recipes below where you can use this instant khoya .

    Thanks for the recipe
    It really works..
I made it with half quantity of all the ingredients.
But I just want to know , can I make it using less ghee or clarified butter cause after the final cooking I found lots of excess ghee draining out…

      Hi Dhwani,
I have not replaced milk powder in this recipe so I am not sure about that.
