Strawberry blueberry smoothie is a delicious sweet and mild tangy vegan smoothie made up of berries and healthy chia seeds.
Smoothies are great healthy alternatives to unhealthy fizzy and caffeinated drinks. I am a big tea drinker which is not a good habit. To control my tea intake I started to make smoothies and included in my diet. Surprisingly not only health improved but also I was able to cut my tea intake by 50 percent. Taking smoothies in your diet is a great kick to start a healthy routine. Now a days I have become a die hard fan of these delicious smoothies.

So today I am sharing a very delicious and easy strawberry blueberry smoothie recipe. This 3 ingredient smoothie takes 5 minutes to make and can keep you full for few hours. To add protein, I have added chia seeds in this smoothie but if they are not available you may add flax seeds, pumpkin seeds or any other that you like. In this recipe I have not used any sweetener, its just personal choice. You can go head and add any sweetener of your choice. Let’s have a look on recipe.
Ingredients
2 cup fresh strawberries, or frozen
1 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon agave nectar or honey or sugar (optional)
3 ice cubes
Step by step strawberry blueberry smoothie
Step 1. Wash and clean strawberries and hull them as mentioned in this strawberry sauce recipe. Clean blueberries as well.
Step 2. Add strawberries, blueberries and chia seeds into a blender. Blend it until becomes smooth. You can also add agave nectar but I didn’t add as my strawberries and blueberries were sweet enough.
Step 3. Then add ice cubes in blender and pulse couple of time to crush them. Smoothie will become slushy.
Step 4. Pour into two glasses. Garnish with blueberries, strawberries and chia seeds. Serve it immediately.
